Day #7 Amsterdam

Hello world ✌

After the first day here in Amsterdam was all about getting to know the city with a focus on the downtown area I decided to discover the surrounding a little bit.
My plan was having no plan 😂 I just went to Amsterdam Central and took the first Tram I saw. I just waited until some place looked interesting and then jumped off😄

First stop for me was Oosterpark: A beautiful park I stayed for about one hour. Just sitting there or walking around ramdomly and enjoying the environment.
After that I picked another Tram heading to Slotermeer which caught my attention😊 that there was a real beach with sand and a huge lake at this station... I wouldn't have expected that. Being happy about the cold water and the sunny weather I also stayed there for about 1 hour. I then just started walking again and found another Tram so I never took the same 😉 that way I was able to see as much as possible in quite a short time.

Arriving at the campsite again, I realized that I had new neighbors 😁 really cool people from Germany who welcomed me once they saw that the tent next to them was mine. I only wanted to eat something and then leave again but at the end hanged out with them for over 2h.
I can only recommend everyone planning a similar journey to stay at campsites! You'll meet the coolest, most open people only by being at least a little open too 😃 I am now travelling and camping alone for 2 years and never felt alone no matter how far away from home I have been!
We shared our food, talked about our homes, travels, hobbies and after a time even about Disney 😂 I never met them before and might never see them again but I loved having them as my neighbors 😊

In the evening I walked around downtown randomly again, sitting here and there at the channels... Just seeing where it takes me next...
Well and then a wonderful last day in Amsterdam was over and my bus to Cologne will leave tomorrow morning...
Thank you Amsterdam for a great time😊

See ya!

Day #6 Amsterdam

Hello world 😄

It's already the 6th day of my trip which means that there are only 2 more left 🙈
But that doesn't matter at this moment because I can spend time in Amsterdam 😍 and what can I say except for WOW!

I love this city with its beautiful buildings, here and there a crooked house, the small channels and last but not least the most kind people I ever got to know! I have been in the Netherlands before but never visited Amsterdam.

I arrived at Sloterdijk at 7am and after I found one beautiful campsite I started discovering the city. I walked through downtown and its little side street, rested sitting at one of the several channels, found a building named Nemo which has the shape of a ship and one can walk on the top of its roof. After the sunset and about 10 hours of walking I went back to my tent and fell asleep immediately 😂

Fortunately there is still one day to come and I will definitely not waste this one. I already thinks of coming back here soon... maybe Rotterdam next time. But until then I will enjoy my current stay so...

See ya!

Day #4 & #5 Prague

Hello world ✌

Since I didn't had a good WiFi connection in Prague I wasn't able to right about those two days immediately 😅 so here is everything I did in the czech capital

16th July: I arrived at 8am at the Bus station. From there I walked to the campsite what took me about 1h... Maybe because I got a little bit lost 😂 but after I finally found it I had a nice little place between very cool people. Compared to Vienna they were way more open and having a little chat was no problem 😊 the campsite itself was smaller and simpler so maybe it was because of that.
However, I rent a bike and after getting some things to eat and drink I started heading to the downtown.
I trudged round all the sights but also tried to find some side streets.
In the evening I sat at the Moldau and relaxed after my 6h ride.

17th July: I had to check out at 10am and left shortly after that. I had breakfast at the Moldau and when I was finished I started walking around without having a real plan 😄 I found a park and spent some time there.
After finding a way back to the bus station  reached it at about 16pm and since I had time and Krone left I spent both in a supermarket 😁 with a full belly I waited for my bus and was lucky enough to get the front seat in a double-deck bus.
Now I am sitting here and looking forward to Amsterdam😍

Conclusion: Prague is a beautiful city and I enjoyed my stay very much. Colorful, old houses, the beautiful Moldau...  Still there  was something that bothered me: I didn't get why so many building especially outside downtown are damaged or closed... I just think it sad because there could be so much more than only the places in downtown to discover if those places would be available. It's always a question of money, I know that, but I would be even more impressed by this city if I saw that they'd really cared for their city and not only for the major sights.

Since this text is getting longer and longer I better stop here 😁 I'll be back soon reporting on Amsterdam. Until then I'll try to get some sleep.

See ya!

Day #3 Vienna

Hello world 😊

It's time to say goodbye 🙁  hope to see you soon Vienna.
I am now sitting at the Bus Station and have to wait until 3am...

It was a quite chaotic last day 😁 I had to leave the campingsite at 12pm... So I just walked to the Donau Island and cooked my meal there... Soup... at least it was eatable😂 after that I walked around Vienna without having a plan where to go.
However, I found a tiny Cafe which wasn't so expensive so I spent some time there😊 after that I decided to go to the Film Festival again but unfortunately it turned out to be less interesting than yesterday... So now I am at the bus station...

Well what can I say... I had 3 fantastic days in Vienna and hope I can come here soon again. Nice people, beautiful environment... Many things to discover.
Still I am happy that my journey continues and the next station is Prague.

Until then I try to find some sleep in the bus when it finally arrives 😂 I wish you all a good night and as always...

See ya!

Day #2 Vienna

Hello world ✌

It's already day no. 2 in Vienna and so far there is nothing to complain about... except for my hurting feet...This day was such beautiful, I don't want it to end 😊

In the morning I went to Castle Schönbrunn, searched for a nice, quite place and had breakfast there 😀 after that I discovered the rest of the garden and summing up: Wow! It's such a diversity of order and pure nature. First it reminded me of Versailles - clear structures, fixed order...  but if you look closely and don't walk the paths everybody does you can find nature in its origin ( that really sounds like: don't be mainstream 😅). In the end I spent more than 3h there... And I didn't even go to the museums.

In the afternoon I walked through Vienna downtown again but different places just to realize that there is a Film Festival in Vienna 😁 at 9pm ist started with a strange short film... Didn't get what it was about 😂 however, the following film showed Swanlake mixed with Streetdance and HipHop: Amazing!

Now I am back in my tent and already tired again... Tomorrow is my last day here and then the Czech Republic awaits me 😁 photos will follow but unfortunately the WiFi here won't allow any bigger uploads. Until then...

See ya!

Day #1 Vienna

Hello world 👋

Today I arrived in Vienna...  at 6am 🙈
The bus came half an hour later than it should have so I stood there quite a long time in the middle of the night (~0:30).

However, I am now in Vienna and already saw quite a few things here 😃 I walked from the bus station to the campingsite with my huge backpack on my back 😁 after 1 hour I finally reached it but unfortunately had to wait until 8am when the office opened.
But after everything was done and I was sure that my tent wouldn't learn flying due to the strong winds I left to discover Vienna a bit.

I walked around the Donau Island (don't know how it's called in English 😁 ) which turned out to be a pretty long walk😅
After that I walked through downtown and got myself a few coffees to keep me awake after the long ride in the night.
The Cathedral and Prater were right at the top of my To-Do-list, but also looking for some “hidden” places away from the crowded places. Pictures will follow 😊

Tomorrow I want to go to Schönbrunn so let's see what waits for me there.

Good night and see ya!

City Trip Coming Soon

Hello World!😃

I know that this blog is supposed to be all about my Roadtrip through North America, but it's still a long time to go 😅 I graduated from school 2 days before and now I have one month until I start working... and how could I spend my time? Exactly! I will travel around Europe 😁

I will make a city trip with a friend with the following stops: Vienna, Prague, Amsterdam, Cologne.
We will stay about 2 days in each city and get there by bus. The rides will take up to 14 hours (Prague - Amsterdam) 😂 and we will stay on campsites with a tent to save some money.
The journey will start in one week and I will now be a little more active here to write about this short trip 😉

 See ya!
